Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how AppStation Studio Pte. Ltd. (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Android version of Worder: Daily Word Game (the “App”), including its online, social, and multiplayer features. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Account & sign-in data. When you sign in with Google Play Games, we receive and store:
- your Google Play Games player identifier;
- your public nickname / username (display name);
- your profile photo / avatar, where you have made it available through Google Play Games.
Gameplay data. To run the game and its online features we collect and store your game statistics — for example scores, wins and losses, streaks, progress, achievements, leaderboard rankings, and multiplayer match history.
Automatically collected data. Device type, operating system and version, app version, language preference, approximate region (derived from IP), and the date and time of requests. We may collect diagnostic and crash information to keep the App stable.
Advertising identifiers. If the App shows ads, our advertising partners may process advertising identifiers. We only use Google-approved ad networks.
2. How We Use Your Information
- operate the game and save your progress across sessions and devices;
- provide multiplayer matchmaking, real-time play, and leaderboards;
- display your nickname, avatar, and relevant statistics to other players in multiplayer sessions and leaderboards;
- maintain fair play, prevent cheating and abuse, and secure our servers;
- analyze usage to improve the App and provide support;
- serve advertising, where applicable.
3. Multiplayer & Social Features
Worder includes online multiplayer and leaderboards. When you take part, your nickname, avatar, and game statistics may be visible to other players. Please do not include personal or sensitive information in your nickname.
4. Google Play Games
The App uses Google Play Games to enable sign-in, achievements, leaderboards, and multiplayer. Google Play Games Services is provided by Google and its use is also governed by Google’s Play Games terms. Google’s handling of your data is described in its privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
- with other players, limited to your nickname, avatar, and stats within multiplayer and leaderboards;
- with service providers who host our servers and provide analytics, crash reporting, or advertising, under appropriate confidentiality obligations;
- with Google as required to operate Google Play Games;
- where required by law or to protect our rights and users.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (see below), we remove the associated data from our servers within 30 days, except where a longer period is required by law.
7. Account & Data Deletion
You can delete your account and associated data at any time.
- In the App: open Settings → Delete Account and confirm; or
- By email: write to app@worder.game and ask us to delete your account.
Upon deletion we remove your player profile, nickname, stored avatar reference, game statistics, and multiplayer history from our servers within 30 days. Your Google Play Games account itself is controlled by Google and can be managed in its settings.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at app@worder.game.
9. Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Transfers
Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where required, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection for such transfers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
